James Wood is a member of the Virginia Beach, Virginia City Council, representing the District of Lynnhaven. He was first elected to the council in 2002, and was reelected in 2006 and 2010.[1]

Biography

Wood holds a B.S. in Commerce from Washington and Lee University. His professional experience includes working as a Virginia Beach Police Officer and as Vice President of JD&W, Inc.[1]

The city of Virginia Beach, Virginia will hold elections for city council on November 4, 2014. The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 27, 2014, for party-affiliated candidates and was June 10, 2014, for non-party candidates. The filing deadline for seats where an incumbent has not filed to run for re-election is August 15, 2014. Six council seats are up for election.[2] In the District of Lynnhaven, incumbent Wood is running unopposed.[3]
