Jamestown Township Fire Levy Renewal (August 2012)
This measure sought to renew the current fire levy which is set at a rate of $.50 per $1,000 of assessed value for a further four years in order to continue to pay for new equipment for the fire department in the township. It was approved.

The question on the ballot:
|Shall the previous voted increase in the tax limitations imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution upon general ad valorem taxes on real and personal property within Jamestown Charter Township reduced by required rollback to .5 mills (2012-tentative) be renewed at .5 mill ($.50 per $1,000 of taxable value) for a period of four years, 2013-2016, inclusive, for the purpose of providing funds for the purchase of new equipment for the Jamestown Charter Township Fire Department; and shall Jamestown Charter Township be authorized to levy such millage for such purpose? If that renewal millage is authorized and levied, the amount the Township will collect in the first year is estimated to be $135,000.|
