Jeremiah T. O'Grady (b. June 30, 1970) is a former Democratic member of the Rhode Island House of Representatives, representing District 46 from 2011 to 2019.

O'Grady has served on the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce as well as the Lincoln Town Council, where he held the position of president from 2007 to 2009.

Biography

O'Grady earned his B.A. from the University of Vermont and his M.P.A. from the University of Rhode Island. His professional experience includes working as the director of Benchmark Human Resources and as a project manager for Olneyville Housing Corporation.[1]

The primary election took place on September 13, 2016, and a general election would have taken place on November 8, 2016, if no candidate had won a majority of votes in the primary. The candidate filing deadline was June 29, 2016.

Incumbent Jeremiah O'Grady defeated Bradley Collins, John Cullen and Paul DiDomenico in the Rhode Island House of Representatives District 46 general election.[2][3]

Elections for the Rhode Island House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on September 9, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 25, 2014. Incumbent Jeremiah O'Grady defeated John J. Cullen in the Democratic primary, while Matthew Guerra was unopposed in the Republican primary. O'Grady defeated Guerra in the general election.[5][6][7]

O'Grady defeated John Douglas Barr II in the September 11 Democratic primary and defeated Matthew Guerra (R), Paul DiDomenico (I) and Mary Ann Shallcross Smith (I) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[8][9][10]
