Biography

Jerry Bowman is an educational consultant and retired teacher that lives in the City of Menifee. Bowman has earned a Master's degree in education and is a veteran of the US Army. Bowman has three daughters and one granddaughter.[1]

On November 5, 2013, Reg Bennett defeated one challenging candidate for a seat on the Menifee Union School District Board of Education. Ron Ulbarri, Randall T. Freeman and Jerry Bowman were unopposed and won their seats by default in uncontested races.

Menifee outperforms the rest of California when measured on the percentage of residents living below the poverty level and percentage of residents over the age of 25 with a high school diploma. Menifee underperforms when compared to the state of California on percentage of residents aged 25 years and older attained a bachelor's degree and median household income. The median household income in Cerritos was $60,805 compared to $61,632 for the state of California. 16.3% of Menifee residents aged 25 years and older attained a bachelor's degree compared to a 30.2 in California. The US Census also showed the poverty rate in Menifee was 8.3% compared to 14.4% for the entire state. The US Census also found that 83.3% of Menifee residents aged 25 years and older attained a high school degree compared to a 80.8% in California.[5]
