My name is Jerry Tucker. Some people may know me as JD. I was born and raised on Charleston’s west side where I have lived for my entire life. I am the son of a retired Charleston Firefighter and Small Business owner. I learned many life lessons as a former boy scout. I graduated from Capital High School and went on the earn a degree in computer and information technology science from Bridgevalley CTC. I am working in my 9th year in the IT industry where I solve dynamic and new issues daily. When I am not at work, I am active with the Kanawha 25 Odd Fellows lodge where I currently serve as the secretary. During my off-work hours, I am in my fifth year volunteering with a neighboring city as a reserve police officer. Another volunteer opportunity I enjoy is serving on the board of a local non-profit that aims to bring art and music opportunities to people of all ages.
I am passionate about responsible fiscal spending, protecting personal liberties, and free market economic development.
