Jessica L. Turek was a 2012 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 1st Congressional District of Nebraska. She was defeated by incumbent Jeff Fortenberry in the May 15, 2012, primary.[1]

Biography

Upon graduation from Lincoln High School in 1998, Turek studied at Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, until 2003. She is a drummer, guitar player, and businesswoman.[2]

Turek ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Nebraska's 1st District. She sought the nomination on the Republican ticket, but she was defeated by incumbent Jeff Fortenberry in the May 15, 2012, primary.[3]
