Zeigler is running for election to the Alabama State Auditor. Zeigler sought the Republican nomination in the primary on June 3.[1] He defeated Dale Peterson in the primary runoff on July 15, 2014. The general election takes place November 4, 2014.

The seat is open as current auditor Samantha Shaw (R) is term-limited and unable to seek re-election.
