Joe Buscaino is a member of the Los Angeles, California City Council, representing District 15. He was first elected to the Council in a special in 2012 following former Los Angeles City Council member Janice Hahn's successful bid to represent California's 44th Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives.[1]


Buscaino was born in Los Angeles. His professional experience includes working as a police officer in the Los Angeles Police Department and serving on the boards of several community organizations including the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Harbor Area, the San Pedro YWCA’s Racial Justice Committee and the Advisory Council for the Los Angeles Watts Summer Games.[1]
