John Brenden is a Republican member of the Montana State Senate, representing District 18. He was first elected to the chamber in 2008.

Brenden previously served in the Montana State Senate from 1993 to 1995. He was Chairman of the Montana Republican Party from 1983 to 1987, and a Montana Council Member for the Governor's Office on the Northwest Power Planning Council from 1989 to 1993.

Biography

Brenden attended the University of Montana, and earned his B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy from Concordia College in 1963. He also enrolled in graduate studies at Adams State College from 1963 to 1964, and Pacific Lutheran University from 1964 to 1965.

His professional experience includes working as owner/operator of Scobey/Plentywood/Sidney/Williston from 1968 to 1988, owner/operator of Brenden Farms, and as a real estate agent.
