John G. Edwards (b. April 7, 1958) is a Democratic member of the Rhode Island House of Representatives, representing District 70. He was first elected to the chamber in 2008. He currently serves as Senior Deputy Majority Leader.

Edwards was a candidate for the Rhode Island House of Representatives in 2004 but was not elected. He has also served as Councilman for the Town of Tiverton from 2006 to 2008.

Biography

Edwards earned his B.S. in Political Science from Northeastern University in 1983. His professional experience includes working as superintendent of J.G. Edwards Construction Company from 1989 to 1998, for O. Ahlborg and Sons as a project manager from 1998 to 2000, as senior project manager for Hodess Building Company from 2000 to 2003 and for Cutler Associates from 2003 to 2006. He has worked for Advanced Building Concepts as operations manager since 2006.[1]
