John P. Jones (January 27, 1829 – November 27, 1912), was a member of the U.S. Senate from the state of Nevada from 1873 to 1903. He served as a Republican from 1873-1894, switched to the Silver Party from 1895 to 1900, and switched back to Republican in 1901.[1]
