John Patterson Blair was a candidate for Washington Superintendent of Public Instruction in the 2012 elections.

Blair served on the Vashon School Board from 2000 to 2004. He was a high school science teacher from 1969-1977, teachers union negotiator from 1970-1972, and was a founding and participating teacher in Cinnaminson Alternative High School from 1972-1976.[1]

Blair ran for Washington Superintendent of Public Instruction in 2012. He faced incumbent Randy Dorn, James Bauckman, Ronald Higgins and Don Hansler in the blanket primary on August 7.[2] Blair did not advance to the general election.

Blair ran for Washington Superintendent of Public Instruction in 2008. He came in fourth place in the primary with 7.46% of the vote.[3]

2004

Blair unsuccessfully ran for Washington Superintendent of Public Instruction in 2004.[1]
