John Wood is a former Republican member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing District 41 from 2008 to 2016.

Wood did not seek re-election to the Florida House of Representatives in 2016 because he was term-limited.

Elections for the Florida House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on August 26, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 20, 2014. Celestyne Williams was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while incumbent John Wood was unopposed in the Republican primary. Wood defeated Williams in the general election.[3][4]

Wood won election in the 2012 election for Florida House of Representatives District 41. Wood defeated John W. Lindsey, Jr. in the Republican primary on August 14, 2012, and defeated Karen Cooper Welzel (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[5]

Wood ran for re-election to the 65th District seat in 2010. He did not have any opposition in the August 24 primary. Wood defeated Joshua Davis (NPA) in the general election on November 2, 2010.[6]

On November 4, 2008, Wood won election to the Florida House of Representatives from Florida's 65th District, defeating Bob Hagenmaier (D). Wood received 35,398 votes in the election while Hagenmaier received 32,948 votes.[7] Wood raised $207,569 for his campaign; Hagenmaier raised $12,086.[8]
