Joseph A. Petrarca (b. April 2, 1961) is a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing District 55. He was first elected to the chamber in 1994.

Biography

Petrarca earned his bachelor's degree from Saint Vincent's College and his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. His professional experience includes working as Deputy Attorney General for the Pennsylvania Western Regional Office and as an attorney for the United State Department of Labor.

Elections for the office of Pennsylvania House of Representatives will consist of a primary election on May 20, 2014, and a general election on November 4, 2014. The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 11, 2014. Incumbent Joseph Petrarca is unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Brian Panichelle is unopposed in the Republican primary.[1]
