Josh Mandel
Josh Mandel (Republican Party) was the Ohio Treasurer. He assumed office on January 10, 2011. He left office in 2019.
Mandel (Republican Party) ran for election to the U.S. Senate to represent Ohio. He lost in the Republican primary on May 3, 2022.
Mandel served as a Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives, representing the 17th District from 2007 to 2011. He was also a member of the Lyndhurst City Council.[1]
Biography
Mandel founded The Groveland Company. He was also previously an intelligence specialist for the United States Marine Corps, Iraq.[1]

Political career
Ohio Treasurer (2011-2019)
Mandel was elected as Ohio’s treasurer on November 2, 2010. He was sworn in as the 48th treasurer of the State of Ohio on January 10, 2011.[1] Mandel was renominated without opposition in the May 6, 2014, Republican primary and won the general election on November 4.[3] He served until January 2019.
Ohio House of Representatives (2007-2011)
Mandel served as a Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives, representing the 17th District from 2007 to 2011.[4]

2018
Mandel sought election to the U.S. Senate from Ohio in 2018.[5] He withdrew from the race on January 5, 2018, citing his wife's health. 2014
Mandel ran for re-election as state treasurer in the 2014 election.[7] Mandel won the Republican nomination in the unopposed primary on May 6, 2014. The general election took place on November 4, 2014.[8]

Mandel ran for election to the U.S. Senate in 2012. He defeated four other opponents in the March 6, 2012, Republican primary. Mandel faced incumbent Sherrod Brown (D), John Fockler Jr. (L) and Joseph DeMare (G) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[9][10] Brown won.[11]
