Ken Jones was a 2012 Republican candidate for District 2 of the North Carolina State Senate.

Jones' professional experience includes working an investment advisor, financial planner, and small business owner. He served as a Captain in the United States Air Force as a Budget Officer from 1983 to 1995.

Jones earned his B.S. in Cartography and Agribusiness from Western Michigan University in 1982 and his M.S. in Administration from Central Michigan University in 1989.
