Christie holds a B.A. from Eastern Connecticut State University and an MEd in education administration from Plymouth State University. He is currently pursuing a doctorate at Nova Southeastern University. In 2008, Christie was a Presidential Elector in the Electoral College.
Christie is a Therapeutic Case Manager at Northeast Family Institute in Brattleboro. He is also a trainer/facilitator for the Anti-Defamation League, and previously worked in the public education system. Christie coached and taught at Hartford High School, and served as the vocational director, chairman, teacher, trainer, and coordinator at several vocational training centers.
