Kim S. Elton (born April 9, 1948 in Havre, Montana) is a former Democratic member of the Alaska State Senate, representing District B from 1999 to 2009. He was previously a member of the Alaska House of Representatives from 1995 to 1998.

Biography

Elton attended Juneau Douglas High School from 1962 to 1996, St. Olaf College from 1962-1966 and the University of Alaska Fairbanks from 1972 to 1974.

Elton's professional includes working as a commercial fisher, newspaper reporter/editor for the Anchorage Times and the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner and editor for a newspaper called the Juneau Empire. He served in the U.S. army from 1969 to 1971 in Vietnam, and left with an honorable discharge.

Kim Elton has lived in Alaska since 1961 and is married to Marylou Elton.
