The question on the ballot:
|The Board of Commissioners of Kittitas County Fire Protection District No. 1 adopted Resolution 6-15-11a concerning a proposition to maintain operations and hire fulltime firefighters. If approved, this proposition would establish the District's regular property tax levy at $1.50 per $1,000 of assessed value to be assessed in 2011 and collected in 2012. The funds will finance improved fire protection operations, pay for fulltime paid fireghters and improve emergency medical service levels. The maximum allowable levy in 2011 shall serve as the base for subsequent levy limitations as provided in chapter 84.55 RCW, all as provided in Resolution 6-15-11a.
