A Klamath River Dam Removal Advisory Vote, Measure G ballot proposition was on the November 2, 2010 ballot in Siskiyou County.[1] It was defeated.[2]

The dams on the Klamath River are scheduled to be removed as part of the Klamath Hydroelectric Settlement Agreement. This advisory vote was put on the ballot by those who oppose the removal of the dams in order to assess how voters see the dam removal issue.

  • Yes: 3,640 (21.16%)
  • No: 13,564 (78.84%) Defeatedd

Support for Measure G

Supporters of a "yes" vote on Measure G believed that by removing the dams, the jobs situation in the county will improve: "These agreements bring millions of dollars for job creation in Siskiyou County – JOBS in construction, river restoration, and renewable energy."
