A proposed Knox County Recall Charter Amendment is in talks with the county commission in Knox County.

The county commission is looking to change the way recalls of government offices takes place within the county. The proposal would set out a time line for filling vacant positions and eliminate the need for special, costly, elections. The proposal would also change the signature amount needed to initiate a recall of an elected official, 50 percent of votes cast for that position in the previous election. Commissioners still have to discuss and will take up the matter after December 14.[1]
