Schuller has spent his career in restaurants. He worked for 20 years as a chef, became the general manager of The Club Forest Restaurant, owned and operated Wolfendale's Restaurant in Sussex from 1996 to 2005, and worked for Old Country Buffet.
Schuller is the author of a book of biblical fiction entitled "Except for These Chains." He and his wife, Peggy, have five children and live in Eden, Wisconsin.

Wisconsin Treasurer (2011-2015)
Schuller was eligible for re-election as Wisconsin Treasurer in 2014 but declined to run, as he originally campaigned for the office in 2010 on a pledge to serve only one term. He announced his decision not to seek re-election in May 2013.

Schuller ran in the 2012 election for Wisconsin State Assembly District 53. He was defeated by Michael Schraa in the Republican primary on August 14, 2012. Incumbent Republican Richard Spanbauer did not run for re-election. Ryan Flejter defeated Koby Schellenger and Joanne Staudacher in the Democratic primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.
