LFM Campaigns

LFM Campaigns is a California-based political consulting firm that focuses exclusively on ballot measure campaigns. LFM was launched in January 2009. The firm's principals are Chris Lehane, a Democratic consultant; Mark Fabiani, a Democratic consultant, and Steve Schmidt, a Republican consultant.[1]

LFM Campaigns expects to focus on ballot proposition campaigns that have the potential of generating bipartisan support. One example mentioned by the campaign in that regard is California Proposition 11 (2008). The Prop 11 campaign was managed by Adam Mendelsohn, a Republican strategist who has joined the staff of LFM.

Steve Schmidt

Schmidt is an influential political consultant in California. He ran John McCain's presidential campaign in the state in 2008 and Arnold Schwarzenegger's most recent re-election camapign.

Chris Lehane

Lehane worked in the Clinton White House. He also played a role in working against the California Presidential Electoral College Reform Initiative (2008).

  • Democratic consultant Ace Smith, who was Hillary Clinton's California presidential campaign chairman and serves as an adviser to Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, a potential gubernatorial candidate
  • Republican strategist Adam Mendelsohn, adviser to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and the governor's former communications director
