Measure A extended the school district's existing $325 annual parcel tax, which generated about $503,000/year. The tax can increase 6.5% a year. The Measure A tax will be in effect for eight years. Residents over 65 can apply for a senior exemption.
A two-thirds supermajority vote was required for approval.
