Lake Bluff Park District Pool Bond Measure (November 2010)
This measure was defeated
- YES 1,480 (39.61%)
- NO 2,256 (60.39%)
This measure sought to create a bond in the amount of $10.7 million in order to help pay for a new pool in the district as well as making improvements as needed. Opponents to this measure saw it as costing far too much for such a small community to bear as more taxes to pay. The current pool was built in part by donations, helping to ease the costs to residents, and people felt that this should be the same for the new proposed pool. It was also noted that the pool is a popular place and while residents would not want it shut down, a cheaper method to pay for it should be found first.
