  • A meeting calendar with times and locations is listed.[1] Meeting minutes are available dating back to 2009.[2] Meeting agendas are available dating back to 2009 as well.[3]
  • There is a public records database that the public can search.[4]
  • The Assessor and Treasurer run a site that allows you to search property taxes.[5] There is also a document detailing the tax lien sale information.[6]
  • County commissioners are listed with an office address, phone number and general email contact form.[7]
  • The county clerk acknowledges their roll as a Public Information Officer and provides a fee schedule, phone number, general email form and physical address.[8]
  • Zoning ordinances and permit applications can be downloaded on the site.[9]
  • Budgets for the past three years are provided.[10]
  • Audits for the past 3 years are provided.[10]

The bad

  • Personalized emails are not provided for department heads, commissioners or the county clerk.
  • Approved contract statements are not available for vendors above $10,000.
  • If the county engaged in lobbying activities or if it is a member of lobbying associations is not disclosed. Nor is the total cost lobbying activities or membership dues for associations available.
