The Louisiana “Right to Bear Arms” Amendment was not on the November 4, 2014 ballot in Louisiana as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment. The measure would have provided for the right to carry and bear a concealed handgun without a permit or license.[1]

The amendment was sponsored in the Louisiana Legislature by State Rep. Barry Ivey (R-65) as House Bill No. 494.
