The Louisiana Association of Business & Industry (LABI) is the largest business lobbying organization in the state. Their full-time staff of lobbyists works to attend all important legislative meetings and continues to advocate business interests when the state legislature is not in session. LABI is also affiliated with four political action committees that also operate on a state-wide level to promote business interests through various branches of the government.[1]

The mission of the LABI is:

"To foster a climate of economic growth by championing the principles of the free enterprise system and by representing the general interests of the business community through active involvement in the political, legislative, judicial, and regulatory processes."[2]
