Text of measure

The language that appeared on the ballot:

To prohibit the legislative auditor and any employee of the office of the legislative auditor from engaging in political activities, becoming a candidate for public office, contributing to political campaigns, and soliciting campaign contributions; and to prohibit any former legislative auditor from qualifying for elected public office until a period of two years has passed following the termination of his service as legislative auditor.
