Elections for the city council of New Orleans, Louisiana consisted of a primary election on February 1, 2014, and a general election on March 15, 2014. Because no candidate received 50 percent of the vote on February 1, 2014, incumbent Jacquelyn Brechtel Clarkson (D) and Nadine Ramsey (D), as the top two vote getters, advanced to the runoff election on March 15, 2014. Ramsey defeated Brechetel Clarkson in the runoff. Lourdes Moran (D), Carlos Williams (D) and Eloise Williams (I) did not advance to the runoff.[2][1][3]
