- NO 2,179 (39.22%)
This measure sought to replace the current school levy which is set to expire with one set at a rate of $2.98 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a further four years in order to continue to pay for educational maintenance and operational costs in the district. The original levy was set at an expiration of two years, but school officials did not want to have to pay for an off year election to renew the levy so opted for a four year length this time. School officials noted the increase cost of running the schools and the need to maintain current services in order to ensure students get the education they deserve. Though even approved, the budget will still be short a small amount.
