Mac Dara F. Lyden was a 2013 Independent candidate for District 13 of the New Jersey State Senate.[1][2]


Lyden earned his B.S. from Saint Peter's College in 1964, his M.B.A from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1967 and a Ph.D. from the New School for Social Research in 1970. Lyden formerly worked as a computer operations specialist, employment recruiter, director of personnel and career consultant. He currently works as an intelligence provider for the Central Intelligence Agency, adjunct instructor and mediator. He is also the owner of America's Best Homes and Realty and America's Best Careers.[3]

Lyden ran in the 2013 election for New Jersey State Senate District 13. He was defeated by incumbent Joseph Kyrillos (R) in the general election, which took place on November 5, 2013.[1][4]
