The Maine Highway and Bridge Improvement Bond Issue, also known as Bond Issue 3, was on the November 8, 1983 ballot in Maine as a legislatively-referred bond question, where it was approved.[1] The measure issued $24.6 million in bonds for bridge and highway improvements. This would be used to match federal funds for such projects and to accelerate the improvement of town way bridges.[2][3]
