The Maine Sewer Treatment Facilities Bond Issue, also known as Bond Issue 3, was on the November 4, 1986 ballot in Maine as a legislatively-referred bond question, where it was approved.[1] The measure issued $12 million in bonds to provide for sewer treatment facilities.[2][3]

Aftermath

In 1987, an additional $8.3 million in bonds was issued for the construction of sewage treatment facilities throughout the state. In 1988, a legislatively-referred bond question issued $12 million in bonds for sewerage facilities construction. In 1989, another issue of $4.4 million was approved for similar purposes.[1]
