The Maine Gambling Machines Prohibition People's Veto, also known as Referendum Question, was on the March 11, 1980 ballot in Maine as a veto referendum, where it was defeated.[1] The measure would have prohibited games of change played on machines.[2][3]

The language appeared on the ballot as:[3]

"Shall ‘An Act to Amend the Laws Relating to Games of Chance,’ which Prohibits the Licensing of Games of Chance Conducted with Gambling Machines, Become Law?"[4]
