The Maine University System Academic Improvements Bond Issue, also known as Question 4, was on the November 8, 1994 ballot in Maine as a legislatively-referred bond question, where it was defeated.[1] The measure would have issued $5 million in bonds for academic improvements at the University of Maine System, including instructional technology and distance learning. The estimated interest on the bonds at 4.8 percent over 5 years was $720,000.[2]
