The Maine Wildlife Habitat and Outdoor Recreation Land Bond Issue, also known as Bond Issue 8, was on the November 4, 1986 ballot in Maine as a legislatively-referred bond question, where it was approved.[1] The measure issued $5 million in bonds for the acquisition of wildlife habitats and land for public outdoor recreation. The proceeds of these bonds were credited to the Maine Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Acquisition Fund.[2][3]

Background

The Maine Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Acquisition Fund, to which these bond proceeds were credited, was created by another legislatively-referred bond question in 1973.[1][3][4]
