Marco Island City Healthcare Levy Increase (August 2012)
This measure was defeated
- YES 1,108 (26.41%)
- NO 3,086 (73.58%)
This measure was non-binding, it sought to increase the current property taxes in order to further pay for more hours of operation of the non emergency health clinics in the city. Some council members saw the need to have the clinics open 24 hours and this proposed increase would pay for that. Since the measure was non-binding, this will just gauge resident's support for the proposal.
