Marcus Harcus was a 2012 Democratic candidate for District 59A of the Minnesota House of Representatives.

Harcus ran in the 2012 election for Minnesota House of Representatives District 59A. He was defeated by incumbent Joe Mullery in the Democratic primary on August 14. Cindy Lilly ran unopposed in the Republican primary.[1][2]

Campaign themes

Harcus' campaign slogan is "People over profits." To that end, he proposes that the government "break-up the multi-national mega banks and create tax and regulatory policies which favor community-based financial institutions that are either cooperatives or non-profit lenders." He also believes that "housing should be a human right in the United States of America."[3]


Harcus is married and has two children.[4]
