Maria del Carmen Arroyo is a Democratic member of the New York City Council, representing District 17. She was first elected to the Council in 2005.[1]

Biography

Del Carmen was born in Puerto Rico. She holds a B.A. in Health Service Administration from Lehman College and a M.P.A. from New York University. Her professional experience includes working as Executive Director at Segundo Ruiz Belvis D & TC, as Senior Director of Operations for the Narco Freedom, Inc., Division of Health Care Services and as volunteer Executive Director of the South Bronx Community Corporation.[1]
