Mark Burkhalter (b. December 12, 1960) was a Republican member of the Georgia House of Representatives, representing the 50th District from 1993-2011. He was the Speaker Pro Tempore.

Burkhalter has worked as a Real Estate Broker with Burkhalter Realty since 1987. Prior to that he was Legislative Director for the United States Congress from 1984-1987.

He is President of the Optimist Club, and a member of the Warsaw/Ocee Community Arts Center, North Fulton Arts Council, and the North Fulton Chamber of Commerce Board.[1]

In 2008 Burkhalter was re-elected to the Georgia House of Representatives District 50. Burkhalter (R) ran unopposed and finished with 17,076 votes.[2] Burkhalter raised $254,825 for his campaign fund.[3]
