Mark Lauretti
Mark Lauretti is the current mayor of Shelton, Connecticut. He was re-elected to a 12th term in the position in November 2013.[1]
On April 5, 2017, Lauretti declared that he would run for governor of Connecticut in 2018.[2] Lauretti dropped out of the race in June 2018.[3] Lauretti also announced plans to run for governor in January 2014, but he withdrew from the race before the primary.

Lauretti ran for election to the office of Governor of Connecticut.[1] He had intended to seek the Republican nomination in the August 12 primary, but ultimately did not reach the ballot.[1] The general election took place on November 4, 2014.
