Mary Olson (b. May 23, 1958) was a Democratic Farmer-Labor member of the Minnesota State Senate. She was first elected to this position in 2006, with her term expiring in 2010. Olson graduated with both her Bachelor's and Juris Doctor degrees from North Dakota. Olson is a former Attorney. She was defeated in the November 2, 2010, general election.

Olson lost re-election to the 4th District seat in 2010. She had no primary opposition. John Carlson ran for the seat on the Republican ticket. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.[2]


On November 7, 2006, Olson won election to the 4th District Seat in the Minnesota State Senate, defeating Carrie Rudd (R).[3]
