Mary Pruitt (b. February 3, 1934) is a former Democratic member of the Tennessee House of Representatives, representing the 58th District from 1985-2012.

Pruitt was a Delegate for Jesse James for President in 1988.

Pruitt worked as an Educator and is now retired, and earned her B.S. and MEd from Tennessee State University.

Pruitt won re-election to the 58th District seat in 2010. She defeated Steven Turner in the August 5 primary.[4] She faced no opposition in the general election on November 2, 2010.[5]

On Nov. 4, 2008, Pruitt won re-election to the 58th District Seat in the Tennessee House of Representatives, defeating opponent Lisa Leeds (I).[6]
