The Maryland Repeal Authority for Land Acquisition in Montgomery County Amendment, also known as Question 5, was on the November 7, 1978 ballot in Maryland as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure repealed the authority of the general assembly to provide for the taking of private property in Montgomery County by the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission.[1]
