The Massachusetts Beverage Container Recycling Refund Act, also known as Question 6, was on the November 2, 1976 ballot in Massachusetts as an indirect initiated state statute, where it was defeated. The measure would have required every beverage container to have a refund value of 5 cents and banned containers with flip-tops.[1]
