The Massachusetts Classification of Property by Use Amendment, also known as Question 1, was on the November 3, 1970 ballot in Massachusetts as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated. The measure would have classified real property for taxation purposes according to the property’s use.[1]
