The Massachusetts Permanent Daylight Savings Time Initiative will not appear on the November 4, 2014 ballot in Massachusetts as an initiated state statute. The measure would have made daylight savings time the year-round standard time in Massachusetts.
Path to the ballot
Supporters submitted the initiative measure signed by ten eligible voters to the Office of the Attorney General, who then certified the measure for circulation. Following, supporters had until November 20, 2013 to obtain and submit 68,911 signatures. Petitioners failed to turn in signatures to the Office of the Secretary of State by the deadline.
