Matthew H. "Matt" Caldwell (b. August 12, 1981) is a Republican member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing District 79. He was first elected to the chamber in 2010.

Caldwell has served in the East County Water Control District as chairman and as a member of the South Florida Water Management District's Lake Okeechobee Subcommittee, which helped develop plans for Everglades restoration.

Biography

Caldwell earned his B.A. in History from Florida Gulf Coast University. His professional experience includes working as a manager with Maxwell & Hendry Valuation Services, a real estate appraiser.

The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 20, 2014. Incumbent Matt Caldwell will face Matt Miller in the Republican primary.[1]
