. He ran unopposed with two other candidates for three available seats in the November 5, 2013 general election. Steele was first appointed to the board in November 2011 to replace John Odell.
Steele earned his B.A. in Political Science from Xavier University. He later earned a J.D. from Ohio State University. Steele is an attorney with Miller, Canfield, Paddock & Stone. He has been involved with community groups including the Cincinnati Camerata and the Ohio ENERGY Project. Steele and his wife, Carrie, have one child.
